RPO Recruitment’s client, a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking an Assistant Engineers Representative to support the delivery of a 12-month Labour-Intensive Construction (LIC) bridge project in the Eastern Cape. Accommodation will be provided, and approved travel expenses will be reimbursed. Responsibilities: Assist the Engineers Representative with supervision and contract administration for LIC bridge works Oversee daily site activities, including quality control, quantity verification, and record keeping Review drawings, method statements, and HSE documentation Coordinate with inspectors, survey teams, and materials testing personnel Support stakeholder engagement and ensure compliance with LIC methods Contribute to progress reporting, certification inputs, snagging, and project close-out Requirements: BTech/BEngTech or National Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognised South African institution Labour-Intensive Construction unit standard (NQF Level 5, SAQA-accredited) qualification ECSA registration as Pr Tech Eng or Pr Techni Eng Minimum of 4 years post-graduate site experience, including at least one completed bridge construction project in a lead or representative role Full-time site presence for the project duration Reliable, organised, proactive, and able to work independently with strong communication and reporting skills Benefits: Salary: Negotiable depending on experience and qualifications Contact RPO Recruitment for our next career opportunity.
