About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Key Account Manager to join our team in Zambia. As a key member of our agricultural division, you will be responsible for managing relationships with commercial farming accounts within the Kabwe to Mpongwe corridor, identifying new business opportunities, and providing expert agronomic recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop relationships with allocated commercial farming accounts within the Kabwe to Mpongwe corridor.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities and prospective commercial farming customers.
- Provide professional agronomic recommendations and crop solution support to customers.
- Assist customers with product selection, application timing, spray programs, and integrated crop management strategies.
- Conduct Product Demonstrations & Trials.
- Work closely with technical and marketing teams to support product launches and market development initiatives.
- Compile technical reports and recommendations based on trial outcomes.
- Deliver high-quality after-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term retention.
- Maintain accurate customer records, sales reports, activity reports, and CRM information.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable Zambian legislation.
- Operate in compliance with all relevant Zambian agricultural, environmental, and chemical regulations.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of agricultural practices and crop management strategies.
- Proven experience in managing commercial farming accounts and identifying new business opportunities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with Zambian agricultural, environmental, and chemical regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or related field (LLB not required).
- Relevant experience in agriculture, sales, or marketing (3+ years).
