This is a senior, commercially focused role suited to an underwriting professional who enjoys analysing complex financial information, building long-term client relationships, and making sound credit decisions that support business growth. Key Responsibilities: Underwrite new and existing trade guarantee facilities Analyse financial statements and assess credit risk Make sound underwriting and credit decisions Manage an established portfolio of commercial clients Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers and beneficiaries Conduct ongoing facility reviews and portfolio monitoring Identify business development opportunities within your portfolio Stay informed of industry developments, legislation and market trends Support automation, digitisation and continuous improvement initiatives Contribute to strategic projects and the ongoing success of the underwriting team What We’re Looking For: Essential BCom degree Minimum 10 years’ experience within: Financial Services; and/or Fuel Industry Strong financial statement analysis experience Proven client relationship management experience Excellent commercial judgement and credit risk assessment ability Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills Advantageous Experience within Trade Guarantees or Surety/Guarantee underwriting Business development experience RE5 qualification FAIS compliance Knowledge of the fuel industry Why Join?
