Requirements:

• National Diploma or Degree in Engineering.
• Qualified Toolmaker.
• Minimum 3-5 years technical / engineering experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of production systems, processes, and layouts In-depth knowledge of production processes, layouts, production systems and shop facilities.
• 3 years experience / knowledge of a Tool Room, including tool design, tool layout, heavy press tools manufacture, patternmaking, machining, works preparation and try-out section.
• Knowledge of quality and audit systems (ISO, VDA, COP, OHSE) as well as Microsoft Office, CAD / MicroStation.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support to Production to develop and establish efficient manufacturing processes.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, and cost performance.
• Coordinate and facilitate improvement workshops (e.g. value stream mapping, efficiency workshops).
• Establish and optimise production processes, including tooling, layouts, and equipment.
• Resolve production and process-related issues impacting quality or output.
• Ensure process stability and readiness for production changes and new model introductions.
• Manage change control relating to engineering changes (ECRs, new models, process updates).
• Support costing activities for facilities, tooling, and equipment.
• Conduct audits (quality, process, OHSE) and ensure compliance with standards and requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, Engineering, Quality, Logistics, and Purchasing.
• Develop reports, process documentation, and performance tracking tools.
• Drive problem-solving initiatives and implement sustainable solutions to root causes.
