Job Description
Our client in the manufacturing industry (Automotive OEM) is seeking to employ an experienced Quality Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that motor vehicle components consistently meet specification throughout their entire life cycle.
Requirements:

National Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Polymer Engineering.

Minimum of 3 years relevant experience within a manufacturing environment (automotive preferred).

In-depth knowledge of motor vehicle parts, functions, specifications, manufacturing processes, and testing methods.

Strong technical understanding of automotive components and systems.
-
Proficiency with Quality Tools such as DOE, SPC, FMEA, 8D.
-
Working knowledge of Pro CKD (advantageous).
-
Ability to interpret and analyse technical drawings and specifications.
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
-
Computer literate (MS Office).
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to present at all organisational levels.

Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks.
-
Willingness to travel locally and internationally at short notice.
-
Valid drivers Licence.
Key Responsibilities
-
Initiate and manage the Qualifying Program for new part introductions.
-
Implement continuous improvement by identifying root causes of part deviations from specification and ensuring corrective actions are applied throughout the part life cycle.

Test and evaluate parts to ensure compliance with performance and material specifications.

Provide technical expertise regarding complete parts, including material properties and functional requirements.

Initiate and drive design improvements for complex component-related problems.

Manage and resolve local and CKD supplier claims.
