Key Responsibilities

• Service, inspect, diagnose and repair diesel trucks, chemical tankers and specialised tanker equipment.

• Conduct brake tests, valve tests, final inspections and preventative maintenance.

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic and electrical faults.

• Repair, overhaul and recondition tanker loading and offloading valves.

• Inspect and repair cryogenic tankers, motors and pumps.

• Perform tanker modifications and repairs using MIG and TIG welding.

• Conduct annual barrel tests, barrel thickness tests and oversee three-yearly AIA inspections.

• Attend breakdowns promptly and provide regular repair updates to Operations and the Workshop Manager.

• Supervise third-party repairs and ensure required quality-control standards are maintained.

• Complete job cards, repair reports and maintenance records accurately.

• Control workshop stock, including issuing parts and supporting procurement.

• Maintain strict health, safety, quality and housekeeping standards.

• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Workshop Manager.
