Job Description
- Draft, review, and manage contracts and agreements, including lease agreements and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Ensure compliance with POPIA and assist the Information Officer with data protection duties.
- Oversee breach and eviction processes, coordinating initial legal steps with external legal partners.
- Maintain a centralised contract lifecycle system, tracking renewals and SLA performance.
- Manage lease administration, ensuring all documents are signed, stored, and accessible.
- Oversee the company’s insurance portfolio, including claims management and record-keeping.
- Support corporate governance by drafting resolutions and maintaining accurate company records.
- Maintain a compliance calendar to track statutory filings, renewals, and deadlines.
Requirements
- Currently studying towards an LLB or related legal qualification (essential).
- Experience in a legal support, compliance, or paralegal role (advantageous).
- Strong legal drafting, research, and document management skills.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace or similar office software.
- Knowledge of POPIA, contract law, and landlord-tenant legislation.
- Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
