About the Role

The role of a Tour Guide and Driver is to provide exceptional service to visitors while ensuring safety and compliance with local regulations. This position requires a combination of professional skills, experience, and a commitment to excellence in the tourism industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service to visitors in a 4/5-star hotel, boutique hotel, lodge, or luxury tourism environment.
• Maintain a clean driving record and ensure vehicle safety and basic vehicle checks.
• Communicate effectively with international and VIP guests and maintain a professional and punctual demeanor.
• Demonstrate strong local knowledge and a genuine passion for tourism.
• Work independently while maintaining excellent communication with the hotel team.

Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric.
• Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle being driven.
• Professional Driver's Permit (PrDP/PDP) where required for transporting guests.
• Valid tourist guide qualification and registration in South Africa.
• A recognised tourist-guiding qualification/training through an accredited provider.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Experience as a Tour Guide, Lodge Guide, Hotel Driver, Guest Relations Officer, or similar.
• Previous experience within a 4/5-star hotel, boutique hotel, lodge, or luxury tourism environment is highly advantageous.
