Job Summary
- Process, cut, trim, and grind various meats according to product specifications.
- Operate industrial food processing equipment including mincers, smokers, cookers, mixers, and fillers.
- Weigh, fill, press, and package meat products accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure the production schedule is followed to meet daily output targets.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of work areas, tools, and equipment.
- Inspect raw meat for quality, removing bones, sinew, and defects as needed.
- Store meat properly to ensure freshness and prevent contamination.
- Keep accurate batch records for traceability and compliance.
- Prepare special meat cuts and assist with sausage or cured meat production.
- Follow health, safety, and food handling procedures at all times.
- Recommend preparation methods or recipes for customer needs.
- Assist in additional tasks or special projects as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in meat processing or food production (advantageous).
- Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks quickly and precisely.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and occupational health standards.
- Comfortable working in cold environments and operating sharp tools.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and cleanliness.
- Team player with a positive work ethic and reliability.
