Job Summary
Are you a skilled Draughtsman with 45+ years of hands-on experience using Autodesk software, including AutoCAD and Revit at an advanced level?
Our client is seeking a technically strong, well-versed Draughtsman to join a growing team in Stellenbosch, working on complex and intelligent 3D modelling projects. This is a great opportunity to work on infrastructure and built environment projects in a fast-paced, professional setting.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed technical drawings and plans using AutoCAD, Revit, and other Autodesk tools for civil and structural projects in the WEC environment.

Create and manage 3D models and intelligent BIM models in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
-
Collaborate with engineers and design teams to develop accurate and efficient drawing sets, layouts, and schematics.
-
Ensure drawings comply with national codes, safety standards, and client specifications.
-
Maintain and update drawing registers, technical libraries, and model versions throughout the project lifecycle.

Assist in performing clash detection, design coordination, and resolving layout conflicts in 3D environments.

Apply Civil3D, Infraworks, Advanced Steel, and other Autodesk packages for infrastructure detailing (advantageous).

Support project delivery timelines by working efficiently under pressure while maintaining high quality and accuracy.

Attend design coordination meetings when required and provide input on constructability or technical detailing.

Implement quality control checks and verify dimensions, tolerances, and calculations in all drawings produced.
Requirements:
-
Relevant supporting qualification or certification in draughting
-
Minimum 45 years relevant experience in a draughting role

Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (essential)

Exposure to Civil3D, Infraworks, Advanced Steel, Robot, etc. (advantageous)
-
Solid experience in 3D Modelling and BIM (Building Information Modelling)
-
Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical drawings
-
Ability to understand or speak Afrikaans is a plus (not compulsory)
