Nelspruit: Electrical Design Draughtsman posted by Network Finance

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Draughtsman to join our engineering and design team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate electrical drawings and documentation to support project design, installation, and commissioning.
You will work closely with electrical design engineers and project managers to ensure all drawings meet technical, safety, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed electrical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts using CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar).
• Update and maintain as-built drawings and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Interpret and convert engineering sketches, specifications, and design concepts into precise technical drawings.
• Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards, regulations, and company quality procedures.
• Coordinate with engineers, site teams, and suppliers to clarify design details.
• Maintain drawing registers, revision control, and documentation archives.
• Provide technical support during manufacturing, installation, and commissioning stages when required.

Requirements

• Diploma or certificate in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as an Electrical Draughtsman or CAD Technician.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical or similar design software.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, symbols, and wiring conventions.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
