Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on large commercial diesel vehicles
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults
- Overhaul engines, transmissions, and other major components as required
- Ensure timely completion of service schedules and repair jobs
- Adhere to workshop procedures, safety standards, and quality control protocols
- Maintain accurate service records and reports
- Assist in training junior technicians and apprentices where required
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex vehicle systems using diagnostic tools and technical manuals
Requirements:
- Qualified Diesel Mechanic / Trade Test Certification
- Proven experience with large commercial vehicles (trucks, buses, or similar)
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Team-oriented, reliable, and self-motivated
- Valid driver’s license
