South Africa: Senior Project Engineer posted by Objective Personnel

• Degree in Mechanical / Mettalurgy / Chemical Engineering
• Qualification in Project Management would be an advantage

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the mining industry with multi-disciplinary engineering and project experience
• Must be able to execute projects with Senior Management / Project Manager assistance and management
• Knowledge of applicable codes, policies, standards, and best practice
• Strong technical skills in engineering principles and practices
• Excellent computer literacy and knowledge of design and visualization software
• Must have valid RSA Passport and be willing to travel periodically

Duties

• Manage own projects in accordance with company’s specifications and requirements
• Responsible for the engineering and technical disciplines of ongoing projects assigned and to establish inspection criteria for the proper implementation of all the elements of a project
• Management of project cost, quality, timing, scope, freight and site works
• Understand the mechanical components of grinding mills and other equipment and how these machines operate
