Our client in the Insurance industry is seeking a Commercial Insurance Broker to join their team in Maputo Mozambique. We are inviting applicants / suitably qualified persons to apply.

Group History:

• The company is one of Angola’s largest insurance broker and is establishing operations in Mozambique, Equatorial Guinea and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
• It represents a number of multinational clients and the international brokers.
• The group is expanding into emerging markets and the successful candidate will join an experienced dynamic network and work closely with the international brokers with which the group is partnered.

Duties:

• Dealing with international brokers and multi-national clients
• Handling the placement of risks into the Mozambican insurance market
• Attaining and managing insurance portfolios for regional and national clients
• Overseeing the day to day operations of the company
• Ensuring high service levels are delivered and maintained

Skills and Experience:

1. 3 years Insurance experience in Commercial non-life insurance
2. The ability to work with international insurance brokers and assemble insurance structures
3. The ability to work with and manage a team of staff 2 insurance staff and 2 support staff
4. Any foreign language (French, Portuguese and Spanish) will be considered very positively
5. Would suit young, independent SA citizen able to relocate with suitable insurance and brokering experience (preferably with reinsurance)

Situated: Maputo Mozambique

Salary: 4 K USD (highly negotable), bonus and profit scheme earnings
