Software Development Manager required in Johannesburg. Responsibilities:

• Track tasks, milestones, deliverables, and timelines to ensure projects stay within budget and scope.
• Manage dependencies, resources, and risks effectively.
• Own end-to-end delivery of custom software projects.
• Form and stabilise delivery teams through onboarding, off boarding, and rotations.
• Provide mentorship, coaching, and career development planning.
• Conduct performance reviews and one-on-one meetings.
• Act as the primary point of contact for customer accounts.
• Deliver status reports and manage financials.
• Strengthen customer partnerships through proactive engagement and mentorship.

Requirements

• Previous consulting experience.
• Experience working on custom software solutions.
• Full-cycle project management, including planning, execution, and delivery.
• Experience leading five or more operational teams.
• Strong customer engagement and relationship management.
• Ability to perform real-time business analysis and problem-solving with rapid context-switching.
• Familiarity with custom software delivery processes.
• Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Strategic thinking and proactive problem-solving.
