South Africa: AWS Cloud Consultant – Johannesburg (Hybrid) – up to R500 P/A posted by E-Merge

Seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to join my client in telecommunication. As a senior contractor, you will design, deploy, and maintain AWS-based infrastructure. Passionate about cloud computing? Deep understanding of AWS services? We want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

• Deploying and maintaining cloud applications
• Troubleshooting and resolving cloud infrastructure issues
• Collaborating with teams to optimize cloud solutions
• Staying current with AWS services and best practices

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer)
• Proven experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda)
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture and design principles
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with other cloud platforms (Azure, Google Cloud)
• Scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of networking and security in cloud environments
