Location: Wellington, Western Cape
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Foreman to join our team our client’s in the Wellington area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering and construction, with a focus on managing and supervising construction projects from start to finish.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations on construction sites, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth workflow
- Supervise and train construction crew members, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety regulations
- Ensure compliance with all building codes and regulations
- Manage materials and equipment inventory, ordering supplies as needed
- Communicate regularly with clients, providing updates on project progress and addressing any concerns
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, schedules, and budgets
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or national diploma in civil engineering or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints
- Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standards
- Proficient in using construction management software
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
