Job Description

Job Title: Events Manager – CBD Region, Cape Town

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Events Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of all events hosted at our boutique hotel in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will possess creative and operational skills, delivering exceptional guest experiences while managing multiple events from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, coordinate, and execute corporate, social, and private events
Manage event enquiries, site inspections, proposals, and confirmations
Liaise with clients to understand event requirements and expectations
Coordinate with internal departments including Food & Beverage, Kitchen, Front Office, and Housekeeping

Responsibilities also include managing event timelines, setups, staffing requirements, and breakdowns. Additionally, the Events Manager will oversee event budgets, costing, and invoicing, ensuring events are delivered in line with our boutique hotel’s brand and service standards.

The successful candidate will build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and service providers, as well as conduct post-event follow-ups to ensure guest satisfaction.

Requirements:
Previous experience as an Events Manager or Events Coordinator within a hotel or boutique hospitality environment
Strong understanding of event planning, banquet operations, and F&B coordination
Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously with attention to detail
Strong client-facing skills with a service-driven mindset
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required

Proficiency in MS Office and hotel systems is advantageous.
