Job Title: Reservations and Revenue Manager – Cape Town Region

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Reservations / Revenue Manager to join our team at a well-established 4-star hotel in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue performance through effective pricing strategies, inventory control, and reservations management while leading and developing the Reservations team.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee the Reservations Department, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Develop and implement revenue management strategies to maximize Average Daily Rate (ADR), RevPAR, and occupancy. Control room inventory, rate structures, and restrictions across all distribution channels. Analyze demand, market trends, and competitor activity to inform pricing decisions. Forecast occupancy and revenue, producing daily, weekly, and monthly reports.

Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Front Office teams to ensure optimal performance of the hotel’s systems, including the Property Management System (PMS), channel manager, and booking engines. Lead, train, and motivate the Reservations team to achieve departmental targets.

Ensure compliance with hotel policies, brand standards, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Requirements:
Proven experience as a Reservations Manager, Revenue Manager, or similar role
Experience in a 4-star hotel with 200 bedrooms
Strong knowledge of revenue management principles and strategies
Advanced experience with hotel PMS and channel management systems (Opera or similar preferred)
Excellent analytical, forecasting, and reporting skills
Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making abilities
Ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-volume hotel environment
