About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Sales Engineer to join our team in Port Elizabeth. As a key member of our sales engineering team, you will be responsible for developing innovative solutions and quotations based on customer requirements, as well as converting quotations to orders through technical and commercial negotiations with potential customers.

Key Responsibilities

Translating customer requirements into highly specified project briefs
Identifying options for potential solutions and assessing them for both technical and business suitability
Creating logical and innovative solutions to complex problems
Presenting proposals to clients
Working closely with engineers, programmers, and various suppliers to ensure technical compatibility of solutions
Interpret and develop machine/assembly processes based on customer requirements
Generating costing spreadsheets and calculating final selling price of solutions
Serving as point of contact for non-routine technical issues for major customers
Maintaining and improving customer relations

Requirements

Formal Tertiary education in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering
National Qualification in the relevant field
Drivers Licence Code 8
Languages: English (read, write, speak)
Fluency in Afrikaans (read, write, speak) is an advantage
