Key Responsibilities

Maintain the Fixed Asset Register
Process cashbooks
Provide support with Accounts Payable and other finance-related activities
Ensure that all fixed asset related movements are timeously and accurately processed
Monthly update of the fixed asset register
Monthly review of depreciation calculations
Prepare month-end financed asset journals
Management of annual useful life and residual value review process
Monthly update and distribution of capex spend schedules
Conduct quarterly asset impairment review with business
Liaise with external and internal auditors with respect to any deliverables or queries with respect to fixed assets
Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Prepare monthly, quarterly and year-end reports
Perform monthly reasonability tests to ensure that all transactions are valid and complete
Process daily cashbooks
Prepare daily and monthly bank reconciliations
Prepare monthly cash clearing Reconciliation
Reconciling Inter-company Accounts

Requirements

Bachelor of Commerce Degree
National Diploma in Accounting
3-5 years experience in a Finance role
Intermediate / Advanced level of excel skills
Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to ensure accuracy in financial records and transactions.
