About the Role
Hire Resolve is seeking a highly skilled Field Service Mechanic to join our team in Johannesburg, GP. As an experienced mechanic with a passion for earthmoving and industrial equipment, you will be responsible for providing top-notch maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs to our clients’ equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on earthmoving and industrial equipment.
- Travel to job sites to service equipment in the field.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and (where applicable) auto-electrical faults.
- Complete service reports and maintain accurate records of work performed.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and customers.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment both on-site and in service vehicles.
- Identify parts and materials required for repairs and place necessary requests.
- Offer technical support and advice to customers where necessary.
- Adhere to scheduled service intervals and respond to emergency breakdowns promptly.
- Manage time efficiently to ensure minimal downtime for client machinery.
Requirements
- Qualified Earthmoving Equipment Mechanic (trade tested).
- Minimum 5 years experience in the field.
- Hands-on experience with earthmoving and industrial equipment.
- Knowledge of auto-electrical systems (advantageous).
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license (recommended, if applicable).
