About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Duty Manager to join our team at BGA Recruitment in Johannesburg. As a key member of our banqueting department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of service and presentation of function rooms. With at least 5 years of management experience in the food, beverage, and banqueting industry, we are looking for an individual with strong interpersonal skills, excellent project management abilities, and a proven track record of success.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure professional presentation of function rooms
- Ensure that functions proceed satisfactorily – efficient service, professionalism, and speed
- Ensure highest level of service – excellence in all operating procedures, approaches, and service level requirements
- Ensure good general housekeeping of the function rooms
- Ensure the effective management of the team
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years management experience
- Knowledge of the food, beverage, and banqueting environment
- Club Experience advantageous
- Good computer skills (MS OFFICE) and other presentation packages
- Knowledge of Jonas Club Management Software
- Must be able to work flexible hours when necessary and able to multitask under pressure
- Drivers licence with own transport
Qualifications
Matric/Diploma in Hospitality Management or equivalent.
