About the Role
TWK Agri has a vacancy available for a highly skilled General Ledger Accountant to join our Finance division in Pretoria, Gauteng. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our financial reporting, while providing actionable insights to management.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS
- Maintain, review, and reconcile all general ledger accounts
- Perform account analysis, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective actions
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, internal policies, and accounting standards
Requirements
- 35 years of experience in general ledger accounting or financial reporting
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (IFRS/GAAP)
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills and ability to interact at all levels
- Ability to work accurately under deadlines and manage multiple priorities
Qualifications
- Matric / Grade 12 with Accounting and Mathematics
