About the Role
A well-established Commercial & Residential Property Development company based in Stellenbosch is seeking a motivated Junior Quantity Surveyor/Project Manager to join its dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for a young professional who wants to grow, be mentored, and develop a long-term career in the property development sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately and timeously undertake quantity measurement for cost estimates
- Ensure maximum cost-effectiveness through proactive subcontractor control and budget management
- Assist site management teams by preparing and providing construction activity programmes
- Evaluate and certify subcontractor invoices/claims and process them for payment
- Work closely with the Accounts Department to compile and manage budgets
- Support Assist in the structural assessment of potential building acquisitions
- Assist with preparing cost estimates for remedial and redevelopment work
- Assist with construction activity programmes for new development opportunities
- Support the preparation of tender documentation
Requirements
- Grade 12/Matric essential
- Relevant Quantity Surveying qualification (minimum National Diploma in Building/QS)
- 12 years experience as a Quantity Surveyor
- Strong construction knowledge
- Knowledge of the Standard System of Measuring Building Work
- Ability to read and interpret construction working drawings
- Valid drivers licence and own transport
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and willingness to learn and be trained
Qualifications
- Relevant Quantity Surveying qualification (minimum National Diploma in Building/QS)
