About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join our team in Steelpoort. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing construction projects in line with our project management framework, with a strong focus on quality, safety, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Initiate and plan construction projects
- Support tender processes, contractor selection, and site mobilisation
- Manage day-to-day construction execution, quality inspections, progress reporting, and contractor performance
- Control schedules, costs, risks, variations, early warnings, and compensation events
- Oversee engineering drawings, QA/QC, and construction compliance
- Lead pre-commissioning, cold commissioning, and support hot commissioning and handover
Requirements
- Grade 12 with Mathematics and Physical Science Recognised Engineering Trade (Section 13 or 26), or Diploma/Degree in Construction Management
- Minimum 5 years construction management experience within mining or mineral processing environments
- Proven experience managing civil and construction activities on live mining sites
- Strong contractor, site, and stakeholder management capability
Qualifications
- Valid Certificate of Fitness
- Completion of site-specific induction
