About the Role
The Dewetsdorp Farm Foreman will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a mixed farming operation, utilizing their technical expertise to maintain and repair equipment, manage livestock, and ensure efficient irrigation systems. This unique opportunity combines hands-on experience with tractor maintenance and repair, as well as experience in centre pivot mechanics and electrical components, making it an ideal role for someone looking to expand their skill set.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair tractors, implements, and windmills
- Perform routine checks on irrigation systems, particularly centre pivots, and address any electrical component issues
- Manage livestock operations, including feeding, vaccinations, and monitoring health
- Assist with daily farm maintenance tasks as needed
Requirements
- Strong technical experience in tractor maintenance and repair
- A Diesel Mechanic qualification is advantageous
- Proven experience with irrigation systems, especially centre pivot mechanics and electrical components
- Experience in livestock management
Qualifications
- Formal education or certification in a related field (if applicable)
Salary & Benefits
