About the Role
Hospitality Hire is recruiting on behalf of a luxury hotel in the Winelands, managed by an international hospitality management group. We are seeking a polished and professional Hostess to be the first point of contact for guests dining at its restaurant outlets. This role is ideal for a confident hospitality professional who understands the importance of service excellence, organisation, and guest engagement in a refined dining environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival
- Manage reservations, seating plans, and guest flow
- Communicate effectively with the restaurant and kitchen teams
- Handle guest enquiries, special requests, and preferences
- Maintain a well-organised reception and waiting area
- Ensure service standards and brand presentation are upheld
- Assist with menu knowledge and basic guest guidance
- Support the service team during peak periods
Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience as a Hostess or Restaurant Receptionist in 4–5 star hotels or fine dining restaurants
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities
- Experience with reservation systems and guest databases
- Professional appearance and confident guest-facing manner
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Hospitality qualification advantageous
