About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and skilled finance professional to join our team as Head of Group Financial Reporting & Consolidations. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and insight across monthly, quarterly, interim, and annual reporting cycles. You will lead consolidation activities, manage technical accounting matters, oversee audits, and play a key role in financial governance and control.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading the preparation of group reporting packs and annual financial statements
- Managing group consolidations, including intercompany eliminations, foreign currency translation, goodwill, and purchase price allocations
- Accounting for complex transactions such as acquisitions, disposals, restructurings, and business combinations
- Driving IFRS compliance, including research, updates, and preparation of accounting position papers
- Coordinating and managing external audits across the group
- Preparing high-quality financial reports and presentations for executive and governance forums
- Reviewing subsidiary financial statements and aligning reporting to group standards
- Managing internal controls over financial reporting and governance
- Partnering with operations on cash flow forecasting, debt management, and covenant monitoring
- Leading and developing a high-performing finance team
- Driving automation and optimisation of reporting processes and tools
Requirements
- Strong experience in group financial reporting and consolidations
- Solid IFRS knowledge, including complex group transactions
- Proven delivery of monthly, interim, and year-end reporting
- Experience managing external audits and internal reporting controls
- Exposure to tax reporting and compliance in a group environment
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial reporting systems
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop finance teams
Qualifications
- Minimum 7+ years’ post-qualification experience in a group or multentity environment
Salary & Benefits
- Competitive salary range: R800,000 – R1,200,000 per annum, depending on experience.
