About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Information Security Engineer to join our team at Communicate Finance. As a leader in our organization, you will be responsible for designing and implementing advanced security controls across on-prem, Azure, and Microsoft 365. You will also define security architecture standards, review new technology integrations for compliance and resilience, and oversee the optimization of security tooling.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced security controls across on-prem, Azure, and Microsoft 365
- Define security architecture standards and review new technology integrations for compliance and resilience
- Oversee and optimize security tooling, including firewalls, web servers, SIEM, EDR, DLP, and vulnerability management platforms
- Automate threat detection and response
- Create operational playbooks and mentor junior engineers
- Act as the escalation point for critical security events
- Define and lead vulnerability management strategy, ensuring timely remediation
- Deliver executive-level reporting on risk exposure, trends, and remediation progress
- Implement privileged access management and champion zero-trust principles
- Design and deliver engaging security awareness programs that actually stick
- Lead technical audits, penetration tests, and red/blue team exercises
- Deliver strategic metrics, dashboards, and board-level presentations
Requirements
- Minimum 7+ years in cybersecurity or security engineering
- Expert knowledge of SIEM, EDR, firewalls, DLP and vulnerability platforms
- Strong scripting and automation skills (PowerShell and Python)
- CISM, CISSP or equivalent senior level certifications
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelors Degree in IT, Computer Science or related field
