About the Role

Equalizer AG Ltd is seeking a skilled Tooling & Jig Fabrication Technician to join our team in Brackenfell, Western Cape. As a key member of our production operations, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and repairing precision tools, jigs, and fixtures for various manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and repair precision tools, jigs, and fixtures for various manufacturing processes
  • Work closely with engineering and production teams to understand tooling requirements and provide solutions
  • Perform troubleshooting and maintenance of existing tooling and jigs to ensure optimal performance
  • Collaborate with external vendors for procurement of tooling components and materials
  • Conduct inspections and quality checks to ensure tools and jigs meet specifications
  • Train and mentor junior technicians on tooling and jig fabrication techniques

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification in metal fabrication or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in tooling and jig fabrication within a manufacturing environment
  • Proficient in reading technical drawings and blueprints
  • Strong knowledge of machining processes, including milling, turning, and grinding
  • Experience with CNC programming and operation is a plus
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications
