About the Role
The Safety Officer is a critical role that requires a dedicated and experienced professional to monitor and review Occupational Safety, Health, Environment, and Management (OSHEM) across sites and within the Cross Fire environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying risks, recommending corrective actions, and ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements of the OSH Act on both consultant-managed and Cross Fire-managed sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor OSHEM compliance and enforcement across sites and within Cross Fire
- Conduct OSHEM auditing to identify areas for improvement
- Manage OSHEM administration and reporting
- Provide written and verbal communication on OSHEM matters
Requirements
- NQF 5 qualification in Health and Safety
- Professional registration with SACPCMP as a Health & Safety Officer or higher
- 35 years of experience in OSHEM within the built environment
- Experience in the fire protection industry is preferred
