About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to join our team in Sandton, Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll processing and be proficient in VIP Premier and Simple Pay software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process monthly payroll for salaried and hourly employees across multiple jurisdictions
  • Review and audit payroll data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
  • Ensure correct deductions (taxes, benefits, retirement contribution) are applied to employees’ wages
  • Prepare and maintain reports related to payroll, including headcount reports, labour cost analyses, and other financial reports (GL’s and adjusting balances)
  • Manage auditing and provide all relevant information for Auditors
  • Oversee and maintain payroll software, ensuring data accuracy and integrity
  • Generate IRP5s / IT3s and upload to ESS system
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other departments to resolve payroll discrepancies or issues

Requirements

  • At least 3-5 years of payroll processing experience
  • Experience in a senior role
  • Strong proficiency in payroll software (VIP Premier and Simple Pay)

Qualifications

  • Finance qualification
  • Completion of matric (Grade 12) is required for this position, but no other qualifications are needed
