About the Role
Overture Rede is seeking an experienced SOC Manager to lead and govern Security Operations Center (SOC) functions, ensuring effective threat detection, incident response, and continuous security posture improvement. With 35 years of experience in SOC leadership, security operations management, or senior security roles, the ideal candidate will combine strong leadership, governance, and technical expertise, supported by recognized managerial and SOC-specific certifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage SOC operations, including people, processes, and technologies.
- Define SOC strategy, operating model, KPIs, SLAs, and performance metrics.
- Oversee incident response, escalation, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure SOC alignment with organizational security policies, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
- Manage SOC tooling, SIEM/SOAR platforms, and detection capabilities.
- Drive continuous improvement through threat intelligence, automation, and process optimization.
- Lead SOC audits, reporting, and governance activities.
- Manage SOC staffing, training, and capability development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 35 years of experience in SOC leadership, security operations management, or senior security roles.
- Managerial / Governance Certifications (one or more): CISM, CISSP, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer or Lead Auditor.
- SOC / Operations-Specific Certifications (one or more): GIAC GSOM, GIAC GSOC, MITRE ATT&CK Defender (MAD).
- Cloud / Modern SOC Certifications (Optional / Environment-Dependent): Microsoft Azure Security Engineer (SC-200 / SC-100), AWS Certified Security Specialty.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Managerial / Governance Certifications (one or more).
