About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Temporary Sous Chef to join our luxury boutique hotel in Ballito, KwaZulu-Natal, on a 3-month contract. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards in a fast-paced, upmarket environment and supporting kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items to high culinary standards
- Lead the team in the absence of senior chefs and maintain kitchen operations
- Support stock control, ordering, and cost management to ensure efficient kitchen running
- Maintain food safety, hygiene standards, and kitchen procedures
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef within a luxury hotel or fine-dining establishment
- Strong culinary skills with a keen eye for detail and presentation
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends
Qualifications
