About the Role

We are seeking a visionary General Manager to oversee the full operational, financial, and experiential management of two luxury wilderness camps in Tanzania. As a seasoned hospitality professional with extensive high-end experience, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences, building strong relationships with staff, guests, and industry partners, while promoting community upliftment and conservation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide disciplined, inspirational leadership to all camp teams and mentor Heads of Department and junior managers.
  • Oversee the full guest experience to ensure consistent 5-star service delivery and create strategies for guest delight, staff welfare, safety, and training.
  • Host VIP guests, media representatives, and industry partners, and coordinate with the Executive Chef to uphold menu quality, food standards, and budget adherence.
  • Lead daily meetings to plan and coordinate operations, maintenance, logistics, arrivals, departures, and special events.
  • Ensure operational equipment, vehicles, generators, and buildings are functioning efficiently and maintained to high standards.

Requirements

  • Hotel Management Certificate or equivalent qualification.
  • Valid drivers license.
  • Strong financial and administrative competencies.
  • Energetic, proactive, and customer-driven leadership style.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and resilience under pressure.
  • High attention to detail, initiative, and organizational discipline.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of management experience in a 5-star hospitality environment.
  • Experience managing a luxury property with 20+ beds.
  • At least 5 years of management experience in East Africa.
