About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Trailer Technician to join our team in Steelpoort. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for carrying out daily services and repairs on trailers, ensuring they meet OEM specifications. If you have a passion for mechanical work and excellent problem-solving skills, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out daily services and repairs on trailers as per OEM specifications
- Attend to breakdowns on the trailers when required
- Inspection of trailers before/after work is performed
- Daily quality checks (known as 15-minute checks)
- Completion of job cards with correct information as per the job instruction issued
- Maintain a high level of technical serviceability of the trailer section by quality work and preventative maintenance in conjunction with the ISO standard
- Timely prioritization of all operational requests, recognizing technical deficiencies, and implementing effective solutions in conjunction with the workshop manager
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years experience in trailer technician or a related field
- Valid driver’s license (applicants without a valid driver’s license will not be considered)
- Own vehicle required to travel from home to work
- Must reside in the Steelpoort area
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans

- 3 years experience as a trailer technician or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license (current)
