About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Sales Consultant to join our team in Gauteng, South Africa. As a key member of our international sales team, you will be responsible for researching potential markets and identifying opportunities for product distribution. With frequent travel across Ethiopia, Sierra Leone, Liberia, and Somalia required, this is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to make a meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities

Research potential markets and assess opportunities for product distribution.
Identify and engage with prospective distributors and installation partners.
Develop and implement effective regional distribution strategies.
Establish, train, and support agents or distributors to promote and sell products successfully.
Conduct regular client visits, providing ongoing sales and technical support.
Monitor agent performance and drive growth to achieve full market potential.
Prepare visit reports, market analyses, and presentations for management review.
Manage product and pricing master data, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business needs.
Liaise with Supply Chain Coordinators to ensure smooth order-to-cash processes.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience in a technical sales environment, preferably within Sub-Saharan African markets.
Strong understanding of international sales and export processes.
High proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with exposure to ERP systems (such as SAP or Pastel).
Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.

Qualifications

Post-matric qualification in Marketing, Accounting, Engineering, or Business Administration will be advantageous.
