About the Role

We are seeking a professional FRONT OFFICE SUPERVISOR to join our 4-star hotel in Cape Town, where you will play a crucial role in supporting the Front Office Manager and ensuring an exceptional guest experience. As a key member of our front office team, you will be responsible for supervising daily operations, addressing guest inquiries, and implementing initiatives to improve service standards.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Front Office Manager in managing day-to-day operations and ensuring quality, standards, and meeting guest expectations on a daily basis.
Supervise all areas of the Front Office in the absence of the Front Office Manager.
Address and resolve guest inquiries and complaints effectively.
Establish and maintain open, collaborative relationships with employees and ensure they do the same within the team.
Supervise daily Front Desk shift operations and ensure compliance with all policies, standards, and procedures.
Improve service by communicating and assisting individuals to understand guest needs and provide necessary guidance.
Ensure property policies are administered fairly and consistently, documentation is completed according to Standard and Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Liaise with other departments (housekeeping, maintenance, etc.) to ensure seamless service delivery.
Identify areas for improvement in guest services and front office operations.
Monitor front desk operations to ensure compliance with hotel policies and procedures.
Communicate effectively with guests and staff to foster a positive atmosphere.
Maintain accurate records of room availability and reservations.
Oversee cash handling procedures and ensure accurate financial transactions.

Requirements

Recognized Qualification in Hospitality Management or related field.
At least 2 to 3 years proven experience in Front Office operations role with proven exposure to Supervisory or Assistant Management role in a 4 or 5-star property.
Proficiency and Strong knowledge of hotel systems (e.g., Opera, PMS, Microsoft Office Suite).
In-depth knowledge of Front Office policies and procedures.
