Job Description

Inbound DMC offering extraordinary expeditionary routes in northern Tanzania , connecting guests with unscripted adventures in the Serengeti is currently recruiting for a Senior Travel Designer. The candidate will be responsible for creating and managing travel arrangements , providing exceptional customer service , handling reservations , and overseeing travel consulting and management tasks. While the role is based in Constantia, Cape Town flexibility for remote / hybrid work is available. Duties: Sales development Start to finish luxury market bookings focussed on East Africa Ensuring that all booking issues are resolved, managing all the changes and adding any developments to the booking to ensure that the client’s trip is booked and planned perfectly. Ensuring all relevant reservations systems are and any other internal systems not mentioned. Handle Accommodation, flights transfer & touring bookings. Book relevant tickets as required. Book relevant accommodation Ensure all booking details pull through accordingly once confirmation emails are received. Handle queries on various matters. Process any additional changes/updates after confirmation to the itinerary. Maintain booking file (electronically) incl. Agent correspondence, AP correspondence, costings, invoices & credit notes and updated booking file cover/summary and ensure all documents are in Requirements: At least 5 years’ experience in luxury travel or hospitality industry Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or Tourism In-depth product knowledge East Africa, particularly Tanzania and Kenya. Travel Consulting, Travel Management, and Travel Arrangements skills Customer Service and Reservations experience Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Knowledge of safari destinations and wildlife conservation Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure Proven track record in customer relationship management and developing travel products and services, specifically in the inbound tourism sector. Computer literate (Microsoft Office, email, Internet). Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Familiarity with TourPlan, WISH, or other booking / operating systems.
