Personal Driver (Cape Town)
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Chauffeuring clients to and from their destinations
• Safely operate the assigned vehicle, following all traffic laws and regulations.
• Plan the most efficient and safe route to reach the destination, taking into account traffic conditions, weather, and road closures
• Follow safety protocols, including wearing seat belts, using turn signals, and obeying speed limits
• Maintain accurate records, such as mileage logs, delivery receipts, etc
• Keep in communication with passengers and supervisors to provide updates on the route, delays, or any issues that may arise
• Secure and protect any cargo to prevent damage during transportation, and ensure it is properly loaded and unloaded.
• Be prepared to work in various weather conditions and adapt to different routes or schedules as needed
• Ensuring guests arrive safely and punctually at their destination.
• Daily checks of the vehicle in terms of fluid levels, tyre pressure and fuel level.
• Ensuring that the company vehicle is always kept clean and tidy.
• Proactive response to any emergency.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Minimum Grade 12 (Matric) Certificate
• Must have a valid Code 8 and PrDP/PDP driver’s license
• Must have completed an advanced driving course
• At least 3 – 5 years of chauffeur/driver experience
• First aid certification will be advantageous
• Must have a clean driving record, with no outstanding fines
• No criminal record
• Be able to perform under pressure
• Be able to use GPS systems and maps
• Must have a high degree of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality
• Time management skills
• In good physical health and energetic
• Must be flexible and available to drive on weekends, nights, and public holidays
• Must be neat and presentable
• Must have own reliable transport to and from work
• Fluent in English (verbal and written)
