Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Quality Analyst with strong expertise in functional testing, automation (Selenium), and lending/mortgage domain knowledge. The ideal candidate will validate endtoend banking and lending workflows, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and support delivery of highquality technology solutions for the Private Client Lending Technology program. The role involves deep understanding of the mortgage lifecyclefrom origination to disbursementalong with strong QA practices in an Agile environment.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Perform functional, integration, and regression testing of mortgage origination and lending platforms.
- Design, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver and supporting frameworks.
- Validate endtoend workflows across:
- Loan origination
- Underwriting
- Credit checks & scoring
- Document verification
- Approval & disbursement
- Collaborate closely with business analysts, developers, and product owners to translate mortgage lifecycle requirements into detailed test cases.
- Validate adherence to banking and mortgage regulatory frameworks (MCOB, Consumer Duty).
- Conduct API testing using Postman/Cypress/Playwright and validate integration touchpoints with upstream/downstream systems.
- Participate in UAT, defect triage, rootcause analysis, and provide clear test reporting.
- Support Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives).
- Ensure traceability, documentation quality, and QA sign-offs for sprint and release deliverables.
- Work collaboratively within LEAP/agile development teams to meet release timelines and quality benchmarks.
Required Skills & Experience
Domain Expertise
- Strong experience in Lending / Mortgage Origination, including LOS platforms, underwriting flows, affordability checks, credit policies, and loan servicing.
- Knowledge of MCOB, Consumer Duty, and other lending regulatory frameworks.
- Understanding of risk management, compliance, and credit evaluation processes.
Testing Skills
- Hands-on experience in:
- Functional & regression testing
- API & integration testing
- Endtoend lending workflow validation
- Strong automation exposure:
- Selenium WebDriver (mandatory)
- Cypress, Playwright, Postman (desirable)
- Experience with test management tools such as JIRA, HP ALM, Azure DevOps.
Technical Skills
- Familiarity with automation frameworks (TestNG, Maven, Hybrid frameworks).
- Exposure to CI/CD integration in Azure DevOps (pipelines, test plans, reporting).
- Good understanding of SQL for backend validation.
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Clear communication and documentation abilities.
- Ability to work in crossfunctional Agile teams.
- Stakeholder collaboration and UAT coordination skills.
- High attention to detail, ownership, and commitment to quality.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with private banking or wealth lending platforms.
- Exposure to digital lending solutions, credit-decision engines, or onboarding platforms.
- Experience working with UK or US-based Financial Services clients.
