About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled PR Engineer with strong Mechanical & Electrical Engineering experience to drive business growth, manage projects, lead people, and perform hands-on work across customer sites.
This role requires a seasoned engineer with 10+ years experience, strong CAD/GA drawing capabilities, and deep knowledge of lifting equipment, machinery, and technical systems.
Minimum Requirements

Mechanical & Electrical Engineering qualification
-
10+ years engineering experience
-
Proficient in CAD (2D/3D), GA drawings
-
Strong project management & people management skills
-
Valid Drivers Licence
-
Computer literate
-
PLC & fault-finding experience essential
-
Willingness for extensive travel (SA & Africa)
-
Must have working knowledge of tasks performed by a Millwright
-
Experience in rail, mining, lifting equipment, cranes, hoists, or related heavy industry advantageous
Key Responsibilities

Lead strategic sales & project functions within rail, mining & lifting industries

On-site technical work, inspections, and engineering repairs
-
Conduct load testing & inspections on heavy lifting equipment

Manage customer & supplier relationships (face-to-face)

Oversee product service, maintenance, and engineering repairs
-
Apply product applications on lifting equipment
-
Ensure compliance, safety, and technical excellence
-
Mentor & guide the Millwright reporting into this role
