Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and experienced Dispatch Supervisor to join our dynamic warehouse team based in Pinetown, Durban. The ideal candidate will oversee all dispatch operations, ensuring accurate, efficient, and timely distribution of goods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily dispatch operations.
- Ensure all orders are picked, packed, and dispatched accurately and on time.
- Manage dispatch staff, including training, scheduling, and performance monitoring.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safety in the dispatch area.
- Monitor stock movement, order processing, and documentation accuracy.
- Oversee route planning, loading, and vehicle dispatching.
- Work closely with Warehouse Supervisors, Drivers, and Customer Service to resolve issues.
- Ensure all PODs are received, checked, and submitted on time.
- Conduct regular reporting on dispatch performance, delays, and improvements.
- Implement process improvements to optimize dispatch efficiency.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric) required, logistics/warehouse qualification is an advantage.
- Minimum 23 years experience in warehouse dispatch supervision.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent knowledge of dispatch processes and warehouse operations.
- Computer literacy (MS Office, WMS systems).
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
