About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Front Office Manager to join a prestigious luxury hotel in Durban. As a senior management role, this position requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and a proven background in managing large front office teams within a busy hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all front office operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.
- Lead; motivate, and manage a team of 2530 staff members.
- Maintain high levels of guest satisfaction through exceptional service and attention to detail.
- Implement and uphold front office policies, procedures, and service standards.
- Ensure effective staff scheduling, training, and performance management.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
- Manage budgets, forecasting, and departmental cost controls.
- Handle guest feedback, complaints, and special requests with professionalism and efficiency.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Front Office Manager in a busy hotel.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire large teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Previous experience in luxury hotel environments is highly advantageous.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Financial acumen with experience in budgeting and cost management.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining service excellence.
