About the Role
As a Cyber Security Analyst in our Cape Town City Centre office, you will play a critical role in protecting the hearts and systems of our organisation. You will be part of a team that detects and monitors threats before they can cause harm, investigating incidents, collaborating with colleagues, and documenting your findings. Your mission is to hunt down vulnerabilities and rogue devices like a love-struck detective, while also identifying and reporting non-compliance because love and rules matter.
Key Responsibilities
- Detect and monitor threats before they can break hearts or systems
- Investigate incidents, collaborate with the team, and document heroic deeds
- Hunt down vulnerabilities and rogue devices like a love-struck detective
- Perform security assessments, update risk registers, and keep action plans ready
- Identify and report non-compliance because love and rules matter
- Run phishing and behavioural security simulations (without breaking anyone’s heart!)
- Conduct controlled attack simulations to test organisational resilience
- Produce management reports that make security insights irresistible
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in analyst or operations roles
- Experienced with Microsoft security suite, including Defender XDR
- Hold a valid driver’s license
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Certified in CompTIA Security
- Certified in ISC² Cybersecurity
- Certified in ISACA Cybersecurity Operations Analyst
