About the Role
We are seeking a Junior Payroll Specialist to join our team as an Mbombela. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and processing of monthly payroll
- Capture and maintain accurate employee payroll information
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant labor legislation
- Process statutory deductions (PAYE, UIF, etc.)
- Assist with leave administration and employee benefits administration
- Handle payroll queries in a professional and timely manner
- Maintain confidentiality of payroll information
- Support the finance department with related administrative tasks
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field
- No prior work experience required
- Basic understanding of payroll principles and labor legislation (advantageous)
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
