Job Description
- Monitor and facilitate the transportation of all products, parts, trailers and/or services offered by any Group of Companies between distribution points or manufacturers.
- Develop strategies and analyse existing systems for operations and identify new improvements for the transportation system.
- Implementation of systems and procedures to recorded and manage all critical aspects.
- Update and maintain trucks and drivers’ information and inventory of spare parts and tyres database daily.
- Coordinating fleet maintenance and repairs and file accidents
- Ensure that all drivers have the correct documentation for transportation.
- Manage and communicate with drivers for scheduled collections and drop-offs and training the status of vehicles and loads.
- Oversee and check he logbooks of drivers to ensure that all information is accurate and on time for authorisation and payment.
- Report daily to management regarding to the transport of goods, issues with transport operations, disciplinary action of drivers, speeding reports, fuel consumption and in general on any aspect which may have a bearing on the efficiency of operations.
- Draft monthly reports and liaison with management, drivers and co-personnel.
- Liaise with internal and external customers on transportation and the management of such process and documentation, from the pickup through monitoring and servicing until the delivery of such products, parts and/or trailers.
- Ensure compliance with the protocol pertaining to the release of any product, part, trailer, equipment and /or goods leaving the premises
