About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Fitter to join our team at Changlong Trading Tyres in Germiston. As a key member of our customer service-focused company, you will be responsible for fitting and maintaining tyres on various vehicles, ensuring optimal performance and providing excellent service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Fit tyres on vehicles, ensuring proper installation and safety.
- Inspect and assess the condition of tyres before fitting.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on tyres, including puncture repairs.
- Provide customers with advice on tyre care and maintenance.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including keeping tools and equipment in good condition.
- Assist with stock control and inventory management.
- Follow all safety guidelines and industry regulations when performing work.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
- Keep accurate records of work performed and report any issues or concerns to the manager.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Fitter or in a similar mechanical role.
- In-depth knowledge of tyres, tyre fitting, and maintenance procedures.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A valid drivers license is a plus.
