About the Role
The Johannesburg Creative Arts Educator will play a vital role in shaping the artistic minds of our students, fostering a purposeful progression in learning that is consistent with the subject and programmes of subjects and grades as determined.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach classroom teaching to engage learners in a purposeful progression in learning.
- Be a class teacher, preparing lessons and considering orientation, regional courses, new approaches, techniques, evaluation, aids, etc., in their field.
- Plan, co-ordinate, control, administer, evaluate, and report on learners’ academic progress.
- Establish a classroom environment that stimulates positive learning and actively engages learners in the learning process.
- Recognize that learning is an active process and be prepared to use a variety of strategies to meet the outcomes of the curriculum.
- Cater for the educational and general welfare of all learners in their care.
Requirements
- A recognised/valid teaching qualification
- An Honours degree advantageous
- A valid SACE certificate
- Knowledge of CAPS Curriculum
